The Public Relations Officer for Asante Kotoko, Kennedy Boakye Ansah has urged the supporters of the club to be patient with new striker George Abege.
The lanky goal poacher joined the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal from Kenya Premier League outfit Kariobanji Sharks.
But Abege who received huge expectations after joining the Porcupines, has been under criticisms following his poor outputs in Asante Kotoko two pre-season friendlies against Rahimo FC and Societe Omnisports.
However, Kennedy Boakye Ansah believes the lanky goal poacher is only some weeks old in Ghana and needs enough time to settle in the Asante Kotoko set up.
“George Abege is just some weeks old in Ghana and in the team, so we should give him time because he will help the team with time”, Boakye Ansah told Ashh FM.
“Management is satisfied with the performance of the team so far but,we will need the support of our supporters because we can’t do without them. The task ahead is huge so they must all come together to help”
Asante Kotoko will face Nigerian side Kano Pillars in the first-leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on August 10, 2019 before the second-leg in Kumasi.
