Defensive midfielder Francis Twene has officially parted ways with Bechem United, bringing an end to a successful five-year stint with the Ghana Premier League club.
Twene joined the Hunters in 2019 and quickly established himself as a key figure in their midfield. Renowned for his tactical discipline, high work rate, and control in the centre of the pitch, he became one of the team’s most consistent performers.
His exit marks the conclusion of a significant era at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, where he was instrumental in Bechem United’s impressive league campaigns over the years.
Now a free agent, Twene is attracting interest from at least two Ghana Premier League clubs. According to sources, the 27-year-old is keeping his options open and intends to carefully consider his next move as he looks to remain at the top level of domestic football.
His departure comes amid a busy transfer window, with several clubs reshuffling their squads ahead of the 2025/26 season.
