Hearts of Oak defender and skipper, Fatawu Mohammed has renewed hi stay with the club until 2023.
The contract of the astute right-back was due to expire at the end of this month and could have leave the Ghana Premier League heavyweight as free agent.[ads2]
A statement from the club reads, “The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak is delighted to announce that our first team captain, Fatawu Mohammed has signed a 2-year contract extension at the club which will run till 2023.”
Fatawu Mohammed was integral in Hearts of Oak success last season, winning the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup.
His performances earned him a senior national team call-up and marked his debut against South Africa in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.[ads5]
