Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Fabio Gama is close to joining Bahraini top-flight outfit Muharraq Club, according to reports.
The 29-year old is joining Muharraq Club after leaving Ghana Premier League powerhouse Asante Kotoko.
Fabio Gama had his two-year contract with Kotoko expired and refused to renew it despite the club’s eagerness to reach a new deal.
Reports say the Brazilian attacking midfielder has held talks with Muharraq Club and could be joining the club in the next coming days.
Gama joined Asante Kotoko as a free agent in 2020 and helped them win the Ghana Premier League in the recently ended season.
He made 48 appearances for Kotoko during his two-year stay and scored only five goals.
Fabio Gama had an impressive debut season where he scored four goals in 28 matches but had a limited time the following season under coach Prosper Narteh Ogum due to injuries.
