Former Elmina Sharks head coach, Yaw Acheampong is on the radar of Medeama Sporting Club.
According to a deep source, coach Yaw Acheampong and Yaw Preko are the leading candidates for the Medeama Sporting Club coaching job with talks far in advance.[ads2]
Though names like Ignatius Fosu has also popped up, the deep source reveals that Yaw Acheampong and Yaw Preko are the only two coaches leading the race with one likely to be appointed early next week.
Yaw Acheampong is currently unattached after leaving Elmina Sharks on last Thursday following their league defeat to Legon Cities FC.[ads3]
Yaw Preko on the other hand is also without a club after serving as the interim coach for Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics.
Medeama Sporting Club are currently without a head coach after the departure of Samuel Boadu who is said to be heading to Hearts of Oak.[ads4]
Meanwhile, Hamza Mohammed who is the assistant coach for the Yellow and Mauves has been tasked to take over the team for this weekend but a new head coach would be appointed before their week seventeen game.
