Former Asante Kotoko supporters’ chief Kweku Amponsah has pleaded with the Ghana FA not to suspended winger Emmanuel Gyamfi.
The speedy winger has been charged by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA for misconduct in their league game against Inter Allies.[ads2]
The Asante Kotoko deputy skipper was captured in a video stamping Inter Allies player Andy Okpe in an off the ball incident in the 64th minute of the frantic encounter at Dawu last weekend.
He has subsequently been referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA.[ads3]
But speaking on Accra-based Happy FM, Kweku Amponsah has pleaded with the Ghana FA to fine the player and not to suspend him where he will missed the club’s crucial league games against bitterest rival Hearts of Oak and Karela United.
“Emmanuel Gyamfi should be fined and not be suspended. I totally agree to the charge from the GFA”, he told Happy FM
“I plead with them not to sanction him so he will not miss the two games against Karela and Hearts”, he added.[ads5]
