The Western Regional branch of the Sports Writer’s Association of Ghana (SWAG) would embark on a peace walk on November 7, 2020.
The exercise, according to a statement from the association is to preach peace to the Ghanaian populace ahead of the forthcoming general elections set for December 7, 2020.

Part of the statement from the association reads, “SWAG believes Ghana’s elections are significant in the country’s democratic governance and should provide qualified citizens with an opportunity to elect their political leaders and allocate power peacefully and without limitations.”

The decision to embark on a peace walk was decided during the association’s maiden general meeting at the Takoradi Technical University on Friday, October 2, 2020.
The association is, therefore inviting all groups and human institutions to join the clarion call on November 7.
