Ghana Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs have filed for an appeal against the decision of the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana FA regarding week 23 game against Legon Cities FC.
The game was botched after the referee Alfaa Ba Adey felt threatened and decided not to continue the match.
He didn’t continue the second half of the game after feeling unsafe due to threats from the supporters of Ebusua Dwarfs according to reports.
Ruling on the case, the Disciplinary Committee awarded three points to Legon Cities, the visitors, in accordance with Articles 33 (2) and 34 (12).
But a statement from Ebusua Dwarfs disagreeing with the ruling reads, “We disagree with the decision of the disciplinary committee of Ghana Football Association in relation to our match day 23 fixture of the Ghana premier league which the referee (Alfaa Ba Adey ) decided to stop the match claiming threats on his life. This decision in our view is misleading and flawed”
“We have filed an appeal within the stipulated time and we are convinced it will succeed.”
