The member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency, Dorcas Affo Toffey has bought division one league club Proud United.
According to local reports, the legislator has bought 100% ownership of the club after an agreement between her and the owner of the club Jojo Duncan.[ads2]
She is reported to have now changed the name of the club from Proud United to Jomoro United after taking over full ownership of the club last week.
The playing body of the club, according to reports, have already landed in Nzema to begin an official residential camping at Nawule ahead of their next league fixture.[ads3]
This means that Proud United will now share the same home venue (Crosby Awuah Memorial Park) with Ghana Premier League outfit Karela United in Ayinase.
Meanwhile, Proud United are currently languishing at the bottom of the division one league (zone two) table after thirteen matches, accumulating only six points.[ads4]
