Asante Kotoko right-back Christopher Nettey could terminate his deal with the club following a misunderstanding over his signing-on-fee.

According to Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, management of Kotoko are in a tussle with the parent club of the budding youngster Attram De’ Visser Soccer Academy over his signing-on-fee.
Per the report, the Special Assistant of Kotoko Executive Chairman, Nana Akwasi Gyambibi Coker agreed a signing-on-fee of $35000 with Godwin Attram who is the CEO of Attram De’ Visser over the transfer of Christopher Nettey to Kotoko on a three-year deal in December last year.

But the Executive Chairman of Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has refused to pay the $35000 because according to him, only GH¢35000 was communicated to him after the signing of the player.

Per the report, Godwin Attram has rejected a cheque from the management of Kotoko meant for the signing-on-fee of the player and has threatened to recall the player if Kotoko fail to pay the agreed amount.
Currently, Christopher Nettey has cemented his position as the right-back for coach Maxwell Konadu’s team, playing all nine matches in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

He has also been shortlisted for Kotoko player of the month of January 2020 alongside Emmanuel Gyamfi and Justice Blay.
