Entertainment pundit, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has added his voice to Charterhouse, organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, deciding to lift the ban on Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
The two artistes were banned from the scheme after a brawl between their camps during the 2019 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.[ads2]
But after barely two years since the ban was imposed on the two famous artistes, Charterhouse have finally decided to lift the ban.
This was revealed by the Public Relations Officer for Charterhouse, Robert Klah last week who stated that the Board have taken into consideration to let both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy participate in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards..[ads3]
But speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on last Saturday, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo was of the view that Charterhouse have disrespected the two musicians for not informing them before deciding to lift the ban.
“I believe that the lifting of the ban without consulting Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy was disrespectful on the part of VGMA. I’m saying this because when the issue happened we condemned both of them and so it is proper for VGMA on their part to do the right thing.[ads4]
“Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are two big stakeholders in the entertainment industry so it is important the scheme considers and acknowledges their importance,” he said.[ads5]
