Ghana Premier League giant Asante Kotoko will face Kano Pillars in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on August 10, 2019, Kyfilla.com can confirm.
The Porcupine Warriors will begin the Champions League campaign with a trip to the Kano State in Nigeria for the first leg of the preliminary round against Kano Pillars before hosting the second leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
It will be the tenth appearance for the Porcupines in the CAF Champions League and sixth for Kano Pillars.
Kotoko gained the chance to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League after winning the NC Special Competition tier 1 whilst Kano Pillars finished second to Enyimba FC on the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The Kumasi based side have already begun preparations towards the Champions League, beating Burkinabe side Rahimo FC 2:1 in a friendly on last Sunday in Kumasi.
