Kotoko have had their CAF Champions League game against Nouadhibou FC called off.
The game which was the seAsantecond leg tie was supposed to have come off at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.[ads2]
But it was delayed for overly an hour due to an impasse between the visitors and the officiating officials.
Nouadhibou FC had five players testing positive of the devastating coronavirus after a test was carried with Asante Kotoko having a positive case.[ads3]
Surprisingly, Nouadhibou FC refused to isolate the infected five players which caused an impasse between them and the officiating officials.
This happened for an hour until the Togolese referee Komlanvi Aklassou called off the game.[ads4]
According to our reporter, the officiating officials have left the stadium with the two teams doing same.
But it is not known whether Asante Kotoko would be rewarded the three points or the game would be rescheduled to a later date.[ads5]
