Burkina Faso have shuttered Ghana’ dream of making it to the CHAN 2020 tournament in Cameroon after a goalless stalemate in Ouagadugu today.

The Black Stars ‘B’ of Ghana lost the first game 1-0 to the Stallions of Burkina Faso at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi and needed to return the deficit before making it to the main tournament.

Coach Maxwell Konadu’ side were very confident of returning the 1-0 deficit but unfortunately held the Burkinabes to a goalless draw in Burkina Faso.
After losing the 2019 WAFU CUP to Senegal in the grand finale, the Black Stars ‘B’ were hoping to make amends by beating the Burkinabes to secure a slot in the CHAN tournament which didn’t come true as Burkina Faso have rather qualify with a 1-0 on aggregate.

This is the third time that coach Maxwell Konadu has failed to qualify Ghana to the CHAN tournament.
