Tanzania Premier League giant Simba Sports Club have joined the race to sign Asante Kotoko marksman Songne Yacouba, Kyfilla.com understands.
The 27-year old has become a transfer target for the Msimbadzi Reds who want to bolster their already deadly attack which has the likes of Emmanuel Okwi and John Raphael Bocco, for the next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
Yacouba has attracted interest from the Tanzanian side following his exploits in the last season’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign with Asante Kotoko.
Simba SC have joined Sudanese side Al Hilal who are battling for the services of the Burkinabe import ahead of the next season’s CAF inter-club competitions.
Kyfilla.com understands, Simba SC are yet to hold negotiations with Asante Kotoko for the services of the agile goal poacher whose price tag is $150,000.
Songne Yacouba scored once and assisted five times in Asante Kotoko last season’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
