Hearts of Oak have parted ways with experienced midfielder Malik Akowuah, Kyfilla.com can exclusively confirm.
The 30-year old was shown the exit door by the Continental Club Masters after refusing to extend his contract.
A statement from the club reads “Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has taken the option not to renew the contract of midfielder Malik Akowuah following the expiration of his three-year deal at the club.
”We thank him for his professional service to the club and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”
Akowuah joined Hearts of Oak from Medeama SC on a three-year deal in November, 2016 following his a spontaneous season with the Tarkwa based club.
He previously played for Great Olympics and AshantiGold.
