The Ghanaian boxer was in quest for his 30th win but the dream shuttered by in just 1:31sec at the Madison Square Garden in the United States of America.
A powerful jab from Lopez landed straight on the face of Commey of which the Ghanaian failed to stand on his feet properly.

Commey could not beat the referee’s count forcing the latter to waive off the fight to the disappointment of Commey and his corner.
“I’m at a loss for words right now. This a dream come true,” said Teofimo. “{Commey} is a bad man. His shot could’ve done the same to me if he hit me with that shot…you all know who I want to fight next. 2020 is going to be a big year. ‘The Takeover’ has arrived, and you haven’t seen anything yet.” Teofomi said after the fight.
