Black Stars of Ghana duo of Emmanuel Lomotey and Nicholas Opoku have been quarantined in the country after testing positive for the novel Coronavirus, French newspaper L’Équipe has reported.
The two players who play their club football for Amiens in France have been tested positive after Ghana’s afcon qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Princepe.[ads2]
This was contained in a list of eleven players Amiens have reported to have tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of their game against Dunkirk in Ligue 2.
Lomotey featured in Ghana’s game against South Africa in a 1:1 draw but couldn’t feature in the Sao Tome and Princepe clash.[ads3]
But Nicholas Opoku played in all the two games and scored his first ever international goal for the Black Stars against Sao Tome and Princepe.
Amiens have reportedly written to the LFP seeking for their upcoming matches against Dunkirk and Clermont-Ferrand to be postponed due to the unavailability of several key players.[ads5]
