Bibiani GoldStars will celebrate their historic 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title with a ceremonial match against Medeama SC at the Duns Park in Bibiani on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
The fixture marks a symbolic occasion ahead of the club’s official coronation as champions an achievement sealed with a commanding 4-0 victory over Accra Lions, sparking wild celebrations in the mining town.
This landmark triumph is Bibiani GoldStars’ first-ever top-flight title, and it comes just four seasons after gaining promotion to the Ghana Premier League. Their success also continues a remarkable trend, making them the third consecutive debut champions, following Medeama SC’s 2022/23 title and FC Samartex 1996’s win in 2023/24.
Notably, the victory also marks the third straight season a club from Ghana’s Western Region has claimed the league crown—an impressive run of dominance for the region.
The coronation match is expected to be a spirited contest, with regional pride and bragging rights at stake between the past and current champions.
After the game, GFA officials will present Bibiani GoldStars with medals and the league trophy in front of fans, dignitaries, and key football stakeholders.
This celebration will cap off what has been an inspiring season for Bibiani Goldstars and Ghana football history.
