Dancehall music originated from Jamaican as a rendition of Ragga music but it seems Ghanaians are now doing massively well in that genre.
In Ghana the dancehall music has always centered on two icons thus Shatta Wale and StoneBwoy. The two have taken over dancehall music in Ghana and have taken it internationally even to Jamaica where the genre originated.
Though there are other dancehall acts in Ghana such as Episode, Larruso, Ras Kuuku and etc but it seems non of the above mentioned dancehall artists come anywhere close to the talent and popularity as Shatta and StoneBwoy
One up coming reggae dancehall artists who is destined for greatness and could challenge the two popular dancehall kings in Ghana is BetterDays Gad.
Daniel Tibil also known as BetterDays Gad has been in the dancehall space for almost a decade now. Lack of support from the part of Ghana he is situated has also contributed to his climbing into the limelight.
He has been one of Western Region’s best dancehall act for some years now and he’s like a wine the more he grows the more acute he is. Last year was a pinnacle year for him as he got more gigs to perform at some important and spotlight shows such as Made In Taadi, X-Icon, Effia carnival and many more shows to his credit.
BetterDays Gad has also released series of tracks to his name. Some of his noted songs are Y3nda, raise from concrete and many more. His music can be found on all the music downloading platforms and his social media handles.
