Ghanaian midfielder, Bernard Mensah has announced his retirement from the Black Stars.
The 26-year old has announced a retirement from the national team until further notice to concentrate fully on his club career.

The Besiktas attacking midfielder announced the decision on his twitter page which reads, “I have decided to take a break from the national team until further notice .. I want to concentrate on my career for now. Thanks to all Ghanaians for their support.”

Bernard Mensah capped only four matches for the Ghana Black Stars, scoring one goal.
He made his debut for Ghana against Togo in June, 2015 where he scored the only goal in the game.

Mensah was part of the recent Black Stars squad that played against Mali and Qatar in international friendlies in Turkey.
He was subsequently part of the few players that contracted the deadly Coronavirus after the two friendly matches in Turkey.
He returned to action for Besiktas on November 1, 2020 after recovering from the devastating disease.
