Berekum Chelsea defender cum captain, Zakaria Fusieni has joined Spanish Segunda B side Fernando CD on loan for the 2020/21 season with an option to make the deal permanent.
The 22-year-old defender joined Berekum Chelsea as a teenager and his impressive progression at the youth team earned him a professional contract shortly after, upon the recommendation of the technical team.

Zakaria, who made his debut against Hasaacas three seasons ago, was a regular member of Chelsea’s first team and recently became the club’s captain, and his fine form in the 2019/20 season which was later truncated earned him a place in Ghana’s Black Stars B squad that participated and won Silver in 2020 WAFU Competition held in Senegal.

Zakaria, who is very tall and commanding central defender, made appearances in the Premier League during the 2019/20 season.
