A Canadian mining company, Xtra-Gold Mining Limited have reported that military personnel operating under government’s anti-galamsey campaign have destroyed their mining equipment. According to the mining firm, the military personnel burnt sixteen of their excavators and one bulldozer during an operation on May 6, 2021 at their concession in Atiwa West District in the Eastern Region.
