Five people have been confirmed dead in the collapsed galamsey pit in Denkyira Bremen in the Central Region. According to the Central Regional Police Command, thirty-six (36) people have been rescued so far with some in critical conditions and receiving treatment at the Dunkwa-on-Offin Government Hospital. The five who have kicked the bucket have been deposited at the Dunkwa-on-Offin Government Hospital morgue. The owners of the pit Kwaku Appiah and Kofi Appiah have been arrested.
