A boat traveling on the lake Volta in the Kwahu North District in the Eastern Region has capsized leaving seven people dead. The unfortunate incident is said to have occurred on Thursday April 14, 2022 around 6:00PM. The boat, with twenty passengers onboard, was heading to Havorkope from Dzemeni on the Dwarf Island capsized after being caught up by a heavy storm. The incident led to five females and two males between the ages of 31 to 60 years drowned.
