The team were presented the trophy today after a goalless game against Mtibwa Sugar with James Kotei lasting full throttle whiles Nicholas Gyan was an unused sub with Akwasi Asante nursing an injury. Simba Sporting Club coach Patrick Aussem has extended contract with the team. The 54-year old penned down a year extension with the Msimbadzi Reds after a successful season. He joined the defending champions of the Tanzania Premier League in 2018 after Pierre Luchantre abrogated his marriage to continue his coaching career elsewhere. Aussem as the head coach for the Dar es Salaam based team, managed to qualify the team to the quarterfinals of the CAF Champions League and has defended the domestic league at the expense of rivals Young Africans who showed glimpses to clinch the ultimate.

Inhabitants of the Upper East region have had their share of the GNPC Foundation’s 100 boreholes water projects across the country. The Foundation led by its Executive Director, Dr. Dominic Kwesi Eduah on Thursday, May 23, 2019, commissioned a ten boreholes with pumps in the capital of the Upper East region, Bawku.
