Bechem United attacker Augustine Okrah is set to join Simba Sports Club in Tanzania, Kyfilla.com can exclusively report.
The 28-year old has reportedly agreed a deal with the Msimbadzi Reds after weeks of negotiations.
With Simba SC playing in the CAF Champions League next season, Augustine Okrah has been deemed a perfect addition to the team’s attack following his explosive performance in the just ended league season in Ghana.
Even though Bechem United couldn’t win any silverware in the just ended league season despite an incredible campaign, Augustine Okrah finished the season as the Premier League third topscorer and arguably one of the top five performers in the league.
Simba SC faced keen competition from rivals Azam FC who were also keen on securing the signature of the former NorthEast United attacker.
Okrah recently had a call-up to the Black Stars squad for 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Central African Republic.
He netted 14 goals for Bechem United in the just ended league season and was the third highest topscorer after Yaw Annor of AshantiGold SC and Asante Kotoko’s Franck Mbella Etouga.
Augustine Okrah has formerly played for Asante Kotoko, Liberty Professionals, Bechem United, BK Hacken, Al-Merrikh, Al-Hilal Club and NorthEast United in India.
