Ashgold Sporting Club thrashed Tema Youth 4-0 in a friendly at the Lenclay Sports Stadium in Obuasi today.
The Miners as part of preparations ahead of RS Berkane clash in the CAF Confederation Cup, hosted the Tema based club in a friendly.
Brazilian, Marco Aurelio Silva netted the opener for Ashgold as early as the 4th minute of the encounter.
Silva powered a low ball beyond the reach of Tema Youth goalkeeper Eric Adjetey to send the host side to the lead.
Coach Ricardo Da Rocha’ side continued to dominate possession, until Amos Kofi Nkrumah scored the second goal in the 44th minute from a direct free kick to end the first half.
Tema Youth effected three changes right from the start of the second half of the match.
Ashgold also made their first substitutions, as Julius Ofori Ziggy replaced Emmanuel Osei Baffour in the 51st minute, with Salia Ouattara also replacing David Abagna.
Goalkeeper Felix Clottey also made his debut for Ashgold, as he came in for Robert Dabuo in the 59th minute.
In the 64th minute, coach Ricardo Da Rocha brought in Emmanuel Owusu for Amos Kofi Nkrumah whilst Marco Aurelio Silva was also replaced by Evans Obeng in the 69th minute.
Benjamin Eshun made it 3-0 for Ashgold in the 74th minute, as he rised above all players to connect to a cross from Roland Amouzou.

Ricardo Da Rocha made double substitution in the 75th minute, by replacing Roland Amouzou and Benjamin Eshun with Atta Kusi and Isaac Opoku Agyemang.
In the 81st minute, Akwasi Ntsi and Stephen Owusu came in for Stephen Owusu Banahene and Eric Donkor.
Substitute Atta Kusi scored the final goal for the Miners in the 86th minute, as they thrashed Tema Youth 4-0 to end the game.
Ashgold will face RS Berkane in the first-leg of the CAF Confederation Cup prelims on September 14 at the Lenclay Sports Stadium in Obuasi, before the reverse fixture in Morocco.
