Ashantigold Sporting Club have set sights on Karela United right-back Isaac Kwain as a possible addition should they qualify for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Kwain has attracted attention from Ashgold after their clash in the NC Special Competition tier 1 semi-final where Karela United pipped the Obuasi based side by a goal to nil at the Lenclay Stadium.
According to a deep throat at Ashgold, the 25-year old impressed coach Zachariassen during the semi-final cracker and has been penciled down as a possible addition should they make it to the next season’s CAF inter-club competitions.
Isaac Kwain joined Karela United in 2017 on a 2-year deal from Ebusua Dwarfs and since then has established himself as one of the best right-backs in the country.
Meanwhile, Ashgold will battle with division one side Nzema Kotoko in the finals of the NC Special Competition tier 2 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 30, 2019 for a chance to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
