Ashgold’s much anticipated friendly with King Faisal at the Lenclay Sports Stadium in Obuasi on Sunday has been cancelled.

According to a publication from Ashgold, the friendly has been cancelled following a request by King Faisal.
The Miners will therefore engage Kumasi based division one league side Asokwa Deportivo in a friendly game on Friday (8th November, 2019), at the Len Clay Stadium.
Coach Ricardo Da Rocha, seemingly impressed with the level of opposition offered by Deportivo when both teams met (Ashantigold 2:2 Deportivo) last Saturday at the Len Clay Stadium, will hope for an improved performance from his team on Friday.

Ashgold’s Youth side will engage in a friendly game with Accra based academy side FC Harlem on Friday morning (10:00 AM), before the main team plays Asokwa Deportivo in the afternoon (3:00 PM).
