The President of AshantiGold Sporting Club, Dr Kwaku has confirmed the sacking of coach Henry Haeusler after just three games.
According to Dr Frimpong, Henry Haeusler has been sacked over unsatisfactory performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
“It is true that I have sacked him [Henry Haeusler] because his tactics weren’t good which has affected the team greatly”, Dr Kwaku Frimpong told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM in an interview.
“He is the coach and will definitely be blamed for the team’s abysmal performances. This coach has a UEFA Pro License and I was convinced that with his background he was the man for the job but wasn’t so. I have learned that certificate doesn’t matter because there could be others coaches who are better than him but don’t have such qualifications”, he added.
Haeusler was appointed head coach of AshantiGold Sporting Club in January on a two-year deal.
The German trainer since joining the club has failed to win any game for The Miners.
Haeusler was in charge for just three games, failing to win any of them after picking a drawn and two defeats.
AshantiGold suffered their worst home record in the ongoing season, losing to Eleven Wonders 4-1 at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
The Miners have already sacked two coaches in the ongoing season.
Coach Ernest Thompson was the first causality for the club followed by Henry Haeusler.
AshantiGold is currently 12th on the league table with 22 points.
