Ashanti Gold Sporting Club have held their mandatory training session today at the capital of Equatorial Guinea, Malabo ahead of Akonangui FC clash in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Miners were supposed to have trained in Ebebeyin where the game would be held but the team were left stranded after arriving in Malabo.
According to report gathered from the team’s camp in Malabo, no official of Akonangui FC have met the Ghana Premier League side since arriving in the country’s capital on Thursday.
The NC Special Competition tier 2 winners had no option than to train in Malabo this afternoon before leaving for Ebebeyin later tonight.
Report says the management of the Obuasi based side are trying to charter a local transport to Ebebeyin after the training today.
Despite all efforts to get to Ebebiyin and train on the match venue today before our match tomorrow per CAF regulations, we're been compelled to train in Malabo before departing to Ebebiyin.
