Asante Kotoko as part of preparations towards the 2019/20 CAF Champions League campaign, will face Ivorian giant Société Omnisports de l’Armée in a friendly.
According to the newly appointed head of Communications for the Porcupine Warriors Kennedy Boakye Ansah, both sides have agreed to the friendly which has been slated for Wednesday, 31st July, 2019 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Coach Kjetil Zachariassen is expected to capitalize on the friendly to fine-tune his squad ahead of the Champions League campaign which start next month.
Kotoko on last Sunday defeated Burkinabe side Rahimo FC 2:1 in a friendly and are expecting to continue their fine form against Société Omnisports de l’Armée who are the reigning champions of the Ivorian League.
Kotoko will travel to the Kano States in Nigeria to face Kano Pillars in the CAF Champions League first leg of the preliminary round scheduled for August 10, 2019 before the return leg in Kumasi.
