Asante Kotoko are close to signing Medeama Sporting Club right-back Samuel Appiah as they augment squad for the next league season.
According to Medeama Chief Executive Officer James Essilfie, the two clubs are in advanced talks over the signing of Samuel Appiah with the deal almost done.

This confirms Kyfilla.com earlier report that, Asante Kotoko have written to Medeama SC for the availability of Richard Boadu and Samuel Appiah to augment squad.
Richard Boadu has already confirmed talks with Asante Kotoko and hoping to join the Ghana Premier League record holders ahead of the next league season.

However, James Essilfie has revealed that, Medeama SC are impressed with the offer Asante Kotoko are quoting for Samuel Appiah and the deal will be finalized soon.

“For Samuel Appiah, we are still in talks with Kotoko. I must be frank, we are satisfied with the amount quoted by Kotoko and I must commend them. I can say Samuel Appiah’s move is 95% done”, Essilfie said as quoted by Footballghana.

“If Kotoko are unable to add the 5%, we won’t allow him [Samuel Appiah] to join them but it is our wish to accept the offer so he will be happy”, he added.
Samuel Appiah joined Medeama SC two years ago from Phar Rangers and has been consistent since joining the team.
