The centre-back picked up the injury at training two weeks ago and has since been out of action as the Medical Team works to get him back.

Medical Team member, Emmanuel Osei Owusu tells Kotoko Express App they cannot readily tell when the defender would be completely healed.

“He has a groin injury. And we think that, it is s recurring injury. His is the type that heals by itself. He has not been training for some time now, and we cannot put a definite time on when he would return. We have asked him to rest while he takes his medication.”
Wahab Adams had a good number of games under his belt in the CAF Confederation Cup campaign last season. He, however, is yet to feature in this year’s African campaign as he has not been used in the last four games played this term.

With the Porcupines surrounding a 2-0 CAF Champions League last knockout round lead against Etoile du Sahel to crash out of the competition with a 3-0 defeat in the second leg in Tunisia, it was left to be seen if Kjetil Zachriassen was going to stick with his centre-back pair or make some switches that could have brought Wahab Adams his first appearance as Kotoko welcome San Pedro of Cote d’Ivoire in the first leg playoff game in Kumasi on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
