Ghana Premier League powerhouse, Asante Kotoko continued their impressive form in their preparations ahead of the second round of the league season by defeating lower tier side Rainbow Stars in a friendly on Saturday.

Left-back Patrick Asmah opened the deadlock for Asante Kotoko in the 14th minute of the match before Augustine Okrah made it 2:0 after just three minutes of the first goal.
Newly signed striker Andy Kumi Francis netted the third goal for Asante Kotoko in the 65th minute to end the game.[ads3]
Kotoko new coach Mariano Barreto was at the Adako Jachie training complex to monitor the game and was introduced to the playing body after the match.[ads4]
