The Players and Coaches Statutes Committee of the Ghana Football Association has instructed Asante Kotoko to pay a sum of Gh¢25,000 to former winger Maxwell Baakoh as unpaid signing on fees.
This comes after the winger dragged the club to the Players and Coaches Statutes Committee demanding his unpaid signing on fees.
Baakoh decided not to renew his contract with Asante Kotoko before the start of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season after his two-year deal with the club had expired.
He left Kotoko as a free agent to sign for Egyptian Premier League outfit Cleopatra Ceramica FC before joining Libyan club Al Madina on loan last month.
In other news, the Players and Coaches Statutes Committee has again ordered Asante Kotoko to pay a sum of $30,861 to former midfielder Kwame Bonsu Conte as his percentage of his transfer fee to Esperance de Tunis.
Kotoko have been ordered to pay Kwame Bonsu $30,000 as his share of the tranfer fee when he joined Esperance from Asante Kotoko in July, 2019.
In addition, Kotoko are to pay Gh¢5,000 to the midfielder for delaying to pay what is due the player when he was transferred to Esperance de Tunis.
Already, Kotoko have paid judgement debts to former players like Matthew Kelvin Andoh, Stephen Ayiku Tetteh and Evans Owusu this season…[ads5]
