Management of Asante Kotoko have mandated Yahaya Mahama Amantana of the Ghana Embassy in Egypt to represent the club at the draw for the playoff in the CAF Confederation Cup scheduled to take place at the CAF headquarters today.

According to a letter dated October 7, 2019 and signed by the Head of Administration and Legal Affairs, Samuel Sarfo Duku, states that, the Ghana Embassy official will be at the draw on behalf of Asante Kotoko upon the advice of Management.

The draw, which is at the Hilton Pyramids Hotel in Orion, starts at 5pm.

The Porcupine Warriors started the 2019/20 CAF campaign from the Champions League, beating Nigeria’s Kano Pillars 4-3 on aggregate a two-legged affair before being eliminated unfortunately by Etoile Sportive du Sahel on a 3-2 aggregate in the second preliminary round.
Kotoko therefore relegated to the CAF Confederation Cup and will know their opponent for the playoff game by close of day.
