Upper East Regional Football Association Chairman Alhaji Salifu Zida has been elected onto the Ghana Football Association Executive Council.

The astute football administrator beat off competition from Central Region FA boss Robert Duncan to win the second RFA’s slot on the Executive Council.
He accumulated six out of the seven votes casted during the GFA 25th Ordinary Congress at Prampram today.
The previous two elections between the two in October ended in a stalemate.

Mr. Zida automatically becomes the Chairman of the Referees Committee of the GFA.
