Former Asante Kotoko defender, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has explained the rationale behind his move to Inter Allies.
The talented centre-back has penned down a six months deal with Inter Allies as a free agent after leaving Asante Kotoko.[ads2]
Since his announcement, many have been questioning why he chose to join Inter Allies after rumours of him traveling abroad as main reason for leaving Asante Kotoko.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu explained that, “It is true that I have signed for Inter Allies. Football Management acquired a deal for me in Portugal, I travelled to Mozambique but couldn’t get the visa because there was a lockdown. I had to play football for some time that’s why I have signed for Inter Allies..”[ads3]
“Am happy for all those that have supported me from day one. I want all of them to continue supporting me, they should know I have joined Inter Allies and I know the reason why I joined them. When you understand the margins in life and football you will understand me..”
“It’s not because of anyone that’s why I love Asante Kotoko. I’ve loved the club since. I will play for Asante Kotoko one day if that’s what God wants to happen in future..”[ads4]
Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, however revealed that clubs like AshantiGold Sporting Club, Medeama Sporting Club, Aduana Stars, King Faisal and Legon Cities FC were interested in him but he decided to play for Inter Allies.
‘I have signed six (6) months for the club and I will make sure we don’t go to relegation. Ashgold, Medeama, Legon Cities, Aduana Stars, King Faisal, were all interested in me but I decided to sign for Inter Allies. I chose Inter Allies because as a player you need to accept challenges and as a footballer decide and prepare to overcome the challenges. Inter Allies is a very ambitious club and proposed a nice offer for me..”, he concluded….[ads5]
