Here’s a breakdown of how teams will be positioned for the tournament, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda next year.
48 nations were split into four pots, each containing 12 teams. One team from each pot was assigned to a group, and the top two sides from each group will move on to the next stage of the competition.
Defending champions Morocco have been placed in Group A alongside Gabon, Niger, and Lesotho. Meanwhile, Group C features powerhouse teams Ivory Coast and Ghana.
