Accra Great Olympics have named Eric Alagidede as their new General Manager, replacing veteran football administrator Oloboi Commodore, in a major shake-up of the club’s leadership structure.
Alagidede, who officially signed his contract on Friday, July 11, 2025, joins the Wonder Club with a growing reputation as one of Ghana’s most promising young football executives. His appointment signals the club’s firm intent to rebuild and return to the Ghana Premier League after suffering relegation two seasons ago.
The former Nsoatreman FC CEO is credited with transforming the Bono-based side into a competitive force, helping them clinch the MTN FA Cup and qualify for their maiden appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup during the 2023/24 season. Prior to that, he served as Director of Communications at Karela United, showcasing his versatility and understanding of modern football operations.
At Great Olympics, Alagidede will lead the club’s strategic and operational revival, with a clear mandate to secure promotion, implement sustainable management structures, and position the two-time league champions as a financially stable and professionally run outfit.
His appointment also reflects the club’s growing commitment to youthful, forward-thinking leadership as it seeks to restore its place among Ghana’s football elite. With Alagidede at the helm, the Wonder Club will be hoping to turn a new page in their quest for long-term success both on and off the pitch.
