Asante Kotoko talisman Abdul Fatawu Shafiu will begin Helsingborgs IF trials later this evening.
The 25-year old is expected to feature in Helsingborgs IF friendly against Osters IF U21 side later tonight.
Shafiu left Ghana for Sweden last Sunday to seal a deal with the newly promoted Sweden Professional League outfit but head coach Henrik Larsson wants to assess the dead-ball specialist before sealing a contract.
The former Shirak attacker was spectacular for the Porcupine Warriors during the NC Special Competition, where he scored 10 ten goals in the tier 1 to aid the Kumasi based to clinch the ultimate.
His exceptional performance for the Porcupines earned him a slot in the Black Stars provisional squad for the AFCON 2019 but was axed in the final squad for the tournament.
Abdul Fatawu Shafiu previously played for Liberty Professionals, Inter Allies, Vimmerby IF, Portland Timbers, Whitecaps FC and Shirak.
