Outspoken football administrator, Kofi Manu popularly known as ‘Blue Boy’ has descended on the Ghana Football Association for banning Medeama Sporting Club and Hearts of Oak for violating Covid-19 protocols.
The two Ghana Premier League clubs have been temporarily banned to play their home matches behind closed doors after violating coronavirus protocols during a match day.[ads2]
A statement from the Ghana FA stated that until the case is fully determined by its Disciplinary Committee, the two clubs should not open their home grounds to supporters..
Reacting to the ban on the two clubs during an interview on Kumasi-based Ashh FM, Kofi Manu ‘Blue Boy’ who is considered as a top brain as far as rules governing football in the country is concerned, as described the decision from the Ghana FA as bogus.[ads3]
“The GFA Ethics Committee should reason up a like a human being. This is a bogus decision from the GFA…What has Medeama done for the GFA to claim they have breached Covid-19 protocols..??
“I won’t respect the decision from GFA, if am a management member of Medeama, I would have written to the GFA on that. GFA hasn’t been fair to Medeama and Hearts of Oak…”[ads4]
“Hearts of Oak don’t have the authority to stop Great Olympics supporters from jubilating, so the decision isn’t fair to both clubs”, he added…[ads5]
