President Akufo-Addo has encouraged both the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to ensure the compliance of the twenty-five percent rule of seating capacity at the various stadia.
All stadia in Ghana were closed to spectators as measures to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 but the government later have the greenlight for spectators to be at the stadium especially football matches.[ads2]
The GFA and the NSA were directed by the government to allow twenty-five percent (25%) capacity of the various stadia to allowed to the spectators during sporting activities.
In his nationwide address on Sunday, January 31, 2020 President Akufo-Addo has urged both the NSA and the GFA to ensure compliance with the twenty-five percent capacity rule in the various stadia with spectators adhering to the Coronavirus protocols like the social distancing, wearing of masks and the others.[ads3]

Meanwhile, Ghana’s Covid-19 cases keep increasing as the total number of confirmed cases has now reached 65,427 after new cases of 797 was recorded.
The country’s current active case is now at 4,665 with 405 deaths and 60,357 recoveries.[ads5]
