Black Stars final 23-member squad for the AFCON 2019 has been leaked with three goalkeepers, eight defenders, eight midfielders and four strikers making the cut.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko agile goal poacher Abdul Fatawu Shafiu alongside Accra Hearts of Oak defender Mohammed Alhassan have been axed from the squad with Kotoko’s Felix Annan making the final list.
Also Ghana U-23 skipper Yaw Yeboah and Ebenezer Ofori of New York City FC have been dropped with debutants Kwabena Owusu, Samuel Owusu and Caleb Ekuban included in the final 23-man squad for the tournament.
Ghana will face off South Africa in a pre-afcon friendly at the United Arab Emirates before flying to Egypt for the tournament which kickstart in June 21 and end at July 19, 2019.
Meanwhile, Ghana has been paired with Guinea Bissau, Benin and Cameroon in group F of the 32nd edition of the prestigious tournament on the African continent.
