Former Asante Kotoko Sporting Club talismanic Cameroonian striker Franck Mbella Thierry Etouga has sent a message to the club’s fans after a poor run in the Ghana Premier League.
Due to their string of losses that have upset their supporters, the Porcupine Warriors have had a terrible season in the league.
This has led their former striker to write some motivational messages to the supporters, the team, and all of his former teammates.
The striker encouraged his former teammate to accept responsibility for the situation after venting to the supporters about their current situation.
In addition, he asks the fans to maintain their composure because he thinks the team will make a turnaround. As he is aware that Kotoko is among the best teams in Africa, Mbella also pleaded with the fans not to overlook the team. He said,
“I have been monitoring what is happening in Kotoko, even though I am not there, but I still follow the club every week when they play, and I can see that they are going through a difficult situation, but I want to encourage my former teammates to take responsibility and make things better.”
“The situation now normally happens because this is football. Sometimes it can be good, but now is a bad time, so I just want all the supporters to stay calm, and I beg them not to neglect the team because this team is one of the best in Africa, and it will never, ever go down.”
Franck Mbella Etouga is currently on loan at El Gouna from Al Masry in the Egyptian Premier League.
