Telecommunication giants, MTN Ghana has supported the Black Stars with cedi equivalent of USD$2million ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this month.[ads2]
The deal was announced by the Ghana Football Association on Thursday, November 3, 2022.
“MTN is pledging 2 million USD to support the Black Stars at the World Cup in Qatar”, the Ghana FA tweeted on its official page.
Ghana is among the five African countries to participate in the 2022 World Cup alongside Morocco, Cameroon, Senegal and Tunisia.[ads3]
Even though the Black Stars provisional squad for the tournament is not yet out, it is believed that a 55-man squad has been submitted to FIFA by the Ghana FA.

The players on the provisional list are expected to arrive in Abu Dhabi on November 14 for the Black Stars final preparations.
Ghana will play a friendly game against Switzerland on November 17 where the squad will be prune down to 26 for the tournament in the Asian country.
Ghana is in group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay, and will kick the World Cup campaign against the European country.[ads4]
