The 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy has landed in Ghana ahead of the biggest international tournament in the Qatar.[ads2]
A delegation from FIFA are touring various countries in the World with the golden trophy and have landed in Ghana on Saturday morning to present the trophy to Ghanaians.
The delegation will spend two days in Ghana and will present the trophy to President Akufo-Addo in a ceremony.[ads3]
The delegation led by former world cup winner David Trezeguet were received on arrival by the Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif and Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku at the Kotoko International Airport.
Ghana is among the five countries that have qualified for the World Cup scheduled to commence in the Arabian country on November 20, 2022[ads4]
Ghana has been drawn in group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.[ads5]
