Ace journalist, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has called on the Ghana Actors Guild to award Josephine Panyin Mensah, the Takoradi woman who went missing.
Mrs. Mensah has been at the center of controversy over kidnapping and pregnancy story.
The 28-year old woman was reported to have been kidnapped in Takoradi on Thursday, September 16, 2021 when going for a routine dawn walk around 5:00AM.[ads2]
She is said to have been nine-month pregnant before her disappearance.
Six days after her disappearance, Mrs. Mensah was found in Axim in the Western Region without the pregnancy.
Hours after her reappearance saw the Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko commenting that the woman was never pregnant and even faked her kidnap.[ads3]
The police also released a statement to confirm what the regional minister said, pointing out that the findings is as a result of preliminary investigations by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) with three persons arrested over alleged conspiracy..
And latest update from the police reveal that the woman has confessed that she was never pregnant neither was she kidnapped.[ads4]
Reacting to the brouhaha, Kwesi Pratt Jnr opined that if the pregnancy claim is fake and there was nothing like kidnapping, then Josephine Panyin Mensah should be awarded for making her family including her husband to believe that she is pregnant for a nine-month period.
“I don’t believe her husband is lying. I believe her husband really believes his wife was pregnant. So, if it turns out that this woman wasn’t pregnant, I think she deserves an award from the Actors’ Guild. Seriously! Because this woman has ably convinced many people that she’s pregnant. All those living in her area know she was pregnant . . . If for nine (9) months, the woman has really done things for people to believe she was pregnant, then Bruce Lee and others must go to her for lessons,” he stated on Peace FM’s ”Kokrokoo”.[ads5]
